This web browser will access some of your computer systems, including the microphone and camera, to monitor the final exam session. We will not access any information beyond what is necessary to ensure test security.
Once your final exam is over, you will be disconnected from your proctoring session. At this point, you can close the Guardian browser, andProctorU will no longer have remote access to your computer. You may also uninstall the software if you choose.
You can be no more than 60 minutes late to your final exam appointment. You will not be able to access the final exam or start your proctoring session after 60 minutes.
No problem! If your connection drops or the webcam is turned off during your exam, your exam session is still active. All you have to do is log back in to your test on ProctorU’s Guardian browser and open the exam. You will still have whatever time remains to finish and submit your exam. If the exam time limit passes before you can reconnect and submit your answers, your exam will be marked as “disconnected due to technical difficulties,” and you will need to reschedule and retake the exam.
Alright, I have good news and I have bad news. If you are less than 60 minutes late, when you are about to begin your exam, the blue “Start Exam” button will still be available for you to click on. Any longer and the “Start Exam” button will be grayed out and disabled. At that point, you have the option to reschedule your exam for a later date and/or time.
Your status in the Examity system will be listed as a “No Show” and you’ll be able to reschedule again 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.
After setting up an appointment, you can always access ProctorU from the link provided in your appointment confirmation email.
